Webroy is pleased to announce that In partnership with Kairos B-BBEE Verification Agency we are now BBBEE Level 8 certified.
Level 8 is the first step in Webroy's plans to achieve a Level 4 by 2021, this is in support of the company's strategic goals and direction and the greater automotive transformation targets. A detailed roadmap is in place, towards which significant strides have been made. An exciting part of the plan has been the renewed investment in skills development. 26 Existing staff members have been enrolled in a Production Skills Program with our LEAN partners Dizani and we have successfully introduced a disabled leadership program with partners Khulisani.
It is believed a valid BBBEE certificate, a requirement of the automotive industry from 2021, will also open new business opportunities and markets for our non-automotive products for example poultry equipment, shelving, wire mesh lockers, wire forms and springs. These new markets will allow us to continue to grow as a company and offer our staff and community new and exciting opportunities.
